Well, It’s official! I’m 18 years old. I am so glad that I am now an adult. Speaking of being an adult, I am now registered to vote. At least I have completed the application and submitted it at the court house. I just hope they were responsible enough to send it out at the right time. I guess I will see when I get my registration card or whatever it is that you get. Now I just need to register with the Selective Services so that I will be available if the Armed Forces need me. Did you know that it is a felony if you do not register? You can be punished with a fine of up to $250,000 and/or five years in jail! That is a huge consequence just for not filling out a form! Well, I’m sure you are probably wondering what I have done for my birthday and what presents I have received……well….I haven’t done anything yet but eaten ice cream and cake at my grandparents house and I didn’t even plan that. I just haven’t really wanted to do much. I’m just so glad to have a day off of my normal hectic schedule. As far as gifts go, I have only received 3 cards and 55 dollars so……don’t look like much on that end yet….lol!
School…….UGH!!!!!! I hate to even talk about this subject nearly! I am NOT doing so hot. I have terrible grades in all of my subjects. I am particularly worried over English though. I mean, I really want to learn it good because in the future, I might would like to go into something as far as journalism. BUT! With the curriculum I am learning from (ACE), or let’s say that I’m NOT learning from, it is hard for me to understand it. It is somehow formatted incorrectly for me to be able to learn from. I really don’t know what I am going to do about this situation. I started out in Geometry this year at my school VCA in ACE. I finally decided that I wasn’t going to learn much and then I had the task of convincing my parents to let me quit that program. So I have now ordered Geometry from Abeka……which is the curriculum that I have been used to using for all of these years. I am so happy, I will start the Abeka Geometry at home on October 30th.
Well I guess I have saved the best info for last. I am sure that you have noticed now that my website name has changed to “The Chaos Chronicle.” I have chosen this name because you never know what I am going to post in any shape, form, or fashion! The word “Chronicle,” meaning, “a record of events placed in chronological order,” I have chosen because this is a blog (a web-log, which is a record) and the posts are in chronological order. Although, as I said earlier, you never know what I am going to post, I still post in order….so I guess that explains that well enough. In the future I would like to add more content and make it a place where not only I, but others write articles on here also. Right now I have my cousin Dave Fisher writing for me. As of right now, I am having to post his stories for him but I hope to have it soon where he could do it on his own.
